David Mivasair of Vancouver, who calls himself a rabbi but is also listed as Chaplain of the First United Church of Vancouver, is a member of the "rabbinic cabinet" of the Soros-financed pressure group JStreet.

Thanks for pointing this out, Richard. Another friend has also written to say that Mivasair here takes a position different from the official JS line. JStreet seems to have a number of different views, on this as on a number of other issues. But whatever the "official" line of JS, it must take some responsibility for what at least some of its "rabbinic cabinet" members have to say. If they don't want to be tainted by the likes of Mivasair, they should kick him off their "rabbinic cabinet."
David Mivasair cannot be taken seriously by serious people. He has a small following of likeminded, non-conforming, individuals who seem to have found themselves in the position of being out of the mainstream community and he is being used by those people as he is using them for attention. The less attention paid to him the better. Sadly there are people who put the title of Rabbi in front of the their name and in fact are destructive in their actions and words. This person is one of those. It is not possible to be a Rabbi and be a pastor in the United Church at the same time.
Too bad, so sad.

I see that this guy, Rabbi David Mivasair, is listed as a member of J St.'s rabbinic council (he is listed as a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College). The J St. website says that this body has 1,000 members, but I don't know that there's any screening process. According to what this guy says in the video you link to, he doesn't belong. He clearly doesn't have J Street's view of the Flotilla or of attacks on Sderot (nor of the nature of the conflict in general):

In my view, J St. would be remiss if it knowingly allows such an individual to affiliate in this way, but as shown on the website, his views do not represent the organization. This matter is being brought to the attention of J St.'s national leadership.
This Jewish Kapo Mivasair and his followers remind me of the Charles Manson clan. They would have stood up in Times Square in 1938 and spoken out in similar fashion in favor of Adolph Hitler's final solution. These bleeding heart beshevelte kapos should be detained and infused with a history lesson.
The so-called progressive 'rabbi' Mivassair preaches as well in the couple of local mosks together with imams; for years he promotes these activities, proud of them, of his muslim 'brothers' and 'sisters' in faith. How wonderful it is to fight for a cause, how unpleasant it is to think.
These people are nauseating and ignorant yet are able to reach those who are even more ignorant and who will certainly believe their message.
When that "rabbi" talked about the puny little missiles sent into Sderot as if they were nothing, I'd like to point out the horror and fear they cause. And then he makes reference to these terrorists being the kids and grandkids of those whose land was taken, well, that's enough for me, excuse me while I go barf.
I'm flabbergasted! No one here has commented on Miffy's egregious lie at 3 min 20 sec, where he says 150 million, instead of 1.5 million.
And he doesn't 'endorse' the bombardment of Sderot, he treats it like an annoying insect. He, and his congregation should live for a year in Sderot, in secret, then come back to Canada to report on 'a few ineffectual rockets'.
Why, 'in secret'? Because, if his Pals know, they can ensure that no rockets go anywhere near their Useful Idiot catspaw pals.
